What to do:
1. Go to a supermarket of your choice and make notes on any items that are out of stock
2. Compare the findings from the first supermarket with a competing supermarket. Are the same products out of stock?
3. Conduct an analysis of your results where you consider the issues in the supply chain that could cause these products to be out of stock
4. Provide an analysis of the tools and techniques used by supermarkets to provide a high level of on-shelf availability
