Need revisions on English origins paper per original instructions and professor’s notes below

Can you help me understand this English question?

ATTACHED IS THE ESSAY ON THE ENGLISH ORIGINS AS WELL AS THE ORIGINAL INSTRUCTIONS. BELOW ARE THE VERY STRONGLY WORDED NOTES FROM THE PROFESSOR TO THE STUDENT. Please revise the essay and make sure all the steps in the instructions were completed (obviously last tutor didn’t do this) AND make sure that ALL of the concerns of the professor below are addressed. It shouldn’t be too long or hard but student needs it back within 12 hours.

From Professor:

“for the English origins one :

MR comment :

Although you have started the work well, it has not reached Phase 3 Step 2 yet.

Please pay attention to the following:

Step 2

Write an academic essay summarizing the procedures followed and the observations made in your investigation. Your essay should have the following sections as basic requirements:

Introduction – DONE

Survey of literature – DONE

Information from dictionaries – DONE PARTIALLY (DICTIONARIES ARE NOT MENTIONED)

Information from Corpus – NOT ATTEMPTED (Phase 2 Step 2)

Summary of observations – NEEDS TO BE DONE

Conclusion – NEEDS TO BE REVISED AFTER THE PREVIOUS TWO SECTIONS

Reference – DONE.

As it stands now, it has no qualitative improvement from the last time. You have NOT read the full assignment descriptor before starting to write. This was the same problem last time.

A portion of the feedback from last time is reproduced here:

Corpus information: TOTALLY ABSENT IN THIS WORK

a.Go back to the assignment descriptor and see what exactly you were asked to do.

b.Get only lines/sentences from sources which contain your 10 words.

c.Observation is yours. Corpus gives nothing more than that.

d.Try to relate what you found from dictionaries and what you found in the corpus.

Conclusion should reinforce what has been found out through the task. Historical information in conclusion is not expected.

You must address these issues.”

All the best.
