  • Background information
  • o Health issue basic definitions, descriptions and categorizations

o individual level: educational, home based, health care provider based

  • Conclusions and recommendations for both prevention and intervention
  • o Based on what is known and discussed in both papers, about the health issue, risk factors, effective interventions, etc.:

 what programs, policies or other recommendations should be changed or implemented for your target population/age group (that are not already in place)?

 What more should be done?

 What additional research is needed to be able to reduce the burden of disease in your target population?

 What are the knowledge gaps that, if filled, could lead to more effective interventions?

o Each paper should thoroughly address with attention to the life-course perspective from a public health vantage:

 “What is the problem? How do we measure it? How big is it? Why is it relevant?”

 “What is being done about this problem? What is our goal? How can we reach our goal?”
