please respond to the discussion post as a peer commenting. Hello Class,

Healthcare has been a major platform in politics over the past 20 years. Although affordable health care for everyone sounds like a positive step forward, the American health care system is bound to the insurance industry and has always been a fee-for-service system (Mandel 2020). I agree that it should be a civil right that Americans who reside and pay taxes in the richest country in the world, have a healthcare plan. As a Christian, I feel that equal access to healthcare is a must. There are three components of access to care: including insurance coverage, health services, and timeliness of care. Access to health care impacts people in many ways including overall physical, social, and mental health status with quality of life. Unfortunately, most Americans do not support universal healthcare while the insurance companies keep gaining more wealth. Inherent in a fee-for-service system is that some people will be able to afford the fee but others will not (Mandel 2020). America’s medical system has been a fee for service which has been difficult to overcome. When profit became a motive for care, then greed took over. The thought of having managed care plans was to control medical costs, however, there is now more fraudulent claims and doctors using referrals to collect more money for unnecessary doctor visit to obtain that referral. I have had associates that have moved out of America to other countries, for example, Canada and England because they had serious health conditions that would be covered in their homelands. The only instances I can think of where healthcare should not be a right is in the case of citizenship, the people that come to America but do not obtain citizenship should not get free healthcare. Some of the places they are relocating from has better healthcare than America. Healthcare should be affordable to all Americans, no matter what salary range they are included.

Write a 350-750-word evaluation section for your proposal that describes how you will evaluate your project’s progress and analyzes the sustainability of your project. This paper is due by the end of Topic 5.

The Scenario: Your funding source is interested in your proposal but now needs to see how you will evaluate your tasks and objectives. The funding source also hopes to see your plan to create lasting change – change that can continue beyond the confines of your project.

Your Task: Using your proposal narrative and your new knowledge about monitoring, reporting, evaluation, and sustainability, write an evaluation narrative.

Your evaluation narrative will have two parts:

Part 1: Evaluation and Monitoring: This part of the evaluation section should tell the proposal reviewers how objectives will translate to outcomes. It should also indicate how you will gather data to monitor your proposed tasks and how you will evaluate progress on your objectives based on this data. As you complete this section, consider:

  1. Restating objectives as outcomes
  2. The who, what, when, and where of data. Who will collect the data? What data is necessary? When will you collect it? Where will you store the data?
  3. How you will answer the “so what?” question. Why does this evaluation help ensure that we meet our outcomes? How does meeting the outcome help us achieve our goal?
  4. What kind of additional tasks must be performed to complete evaluation
  5. Whether or not evaluation data needs to be shared with stakeholders. If it does, how and when will the evaluation data are disseminated?

Part 2: Sustainability Narrative:

As you have learned, the most successful grant proposals build sustainability into the project. Select the relevant types of sustainability for your project (financial, managerial, social, technological, and/or environmental) and write a narrative that explains how you plan to maintain the project’s benefits after the current round of funding ends. You might consider whether you will seek further funding from other agencies, whether current stakeholders will continue to reap benefits, whether those involved will be likely to continue your efforts, and so on.

Please reference two to three credible sources to support your sustainability plan.
