Essay Assignment Requirements ( I chose Atlanta PD as law enforcement not under federal review- open for suggestions)
For each essay assignment there are goals and requirements that must be met in order to achieve the maximum amount of points. Please keep this in mind as you write and submit your essays. The essay assignments require no abstract, and exceeding the word count requirement will result in a reduction to your total points. The word count does not include the title page or reference page. The requirements are set to ensure that each student has a fair opportunity to earn the maximum amount of points, and allowing some students to exceed this greatly, provides an unfair advantage. Also, remember to keep your LopesWrite scores below 20%, as this is GCU’s threshold. GCU is monitoring high scores and how they relate to your final scores. Additionally, I will be providing you with feedback as high scores indicate you have used significant amounts of cited outside content or you have not cited properly. It is your responsibility to upload your papers through LopesWrite. Failure to do so will result in late penalties.
Additionally, ALL assignments must be submitted through the drop box grading portal, not via email or the Individual message forum. Assignments not submitted in the drop box, will not be graded, as this is the official grading portal. Assignments not submitted timely, will result in a deduction of 10% per day the assignment is late. No assignment can be accepted for grading after midnight on the final day of class. Technical issues are NOT valid excuses for late work unless the problem stems from GCU servers; no exceptions. Lastly, there is no extra credit work provided. Additionally, there are no redo’s of any assignments. Every student is treated fairly and everyone has 8 weeks to earn an “A”. You can do this!
